Leading walks

The Wheeled Access Group was set up to provide accessible walks during the Dartmoor Walking Festival which is organised by Moorland Guides. Following the success of these walks Wags now also offer guided accessible walks through the year, on alternate months.

All the walks are led by 2 qualified Moorland Guides and the routes have been thoroughly tested by the WAGs group. As the walks are on Dartmoor with its unpredictable weather, all participants are urged to bring clothing for wet and cold weather even in August! We always stop for a picnic lunch (bring your own). We meet at 10.30am for a 11.00 departure and are back between 3.00pm and 4.00pm depending on route, weather and time of year. Walks are on the high moor and in wooded river valleys. It is necessary to book in advance of the walk.
